Portraiture
I would really like some feed back on these portraits. I need some criticism, because I don't feel comfortable with shooting people. I need to be shooting people, it's hard battle to start photographing people and getting comfortable with the portrait. So any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i think this series of portraits is handled beautifully. The camera can be a very confrontational instrument from a subject's point of view - seeming intrusive and invasive, often resulting in abnormal actions and insincere smiles . This happens when subjects are conscious of the camera's presence, or maybe when they don't feel comfortable with their company (people, surroundings, atmosphere, etc.). How can a photographer bypass this obstacle? Maybe it means gaining more trust, or infiltrating a certain group. Ha, maybe dressing in disguise. Maybe practice shooting blindly, with your camera at your side instead of in front of your eyes? Hidden camera! hahaha. But seriously. These photos are very well composed and your subjects seem to be quite interesting people overall, yet the images are reliant on you having carefully composed them in a space, thus making the subject acutely aware of your photographic presence. Something to think about at the least.
